What else could Apple Fans expect in 2011? -Investorplace.com

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs destroyed hopes for a more technologically advanced iPad 3 later in the year by calling 2011 "the year of the iPad 2." These words to indicate more than just a more gradual roll-out of new iPad models, but also a shuffling of traditional product release cycle of the company.

Last year, the iPad was released in April, the iPhone 4 in June, and an updated iPod line in September — a schedule that, except for the iPad, followed previous handheld release deadlines.

In 2011, however, a new iPhone model and a new iPad released within a month of each other during the first quarter.

The question is, what does Apple still behind the hand for this year? Here are three products rumored to have been in the works from the rest of the calendar year of the company round.

Touch Screen iMac

DigiTimes said more than a year ago that Apple was working on a touchscreen-equipped version of the all-in-one PC, the iMac, but recently published patents even more proof that Apple will introduce an iMac Touch in the near future have proposed. The summer release of the company's major operating system update, 10.7 or Lion, could be an ideal link for an important new home computer. Lion's renovated interface and new apps, available via the new Mac App Store, would be good by an attention-grabbing device such as the rumored iMac with adjustable screen. Patents have the PC's screen as being able to shift between vertical and flat exposures with the software seamlessly to meet a shift from traditional keyboard and mouse controls to an interface of the touch. The absence of iPhone and iPad releases second quarter would be the new PC room to breathe in the retail trade as well.

iPhone 5/iPhone Nano

With no early summer iPhone release and (seemingly) no iPad 3 in the fall, Apple will be a golden opportunity to the next important evolutions on the iPhone line release in September. In addition to an iPhone for Verizon 5 (NYSE: VZ) the AT&T and (NYSE: T) respective 4 G LTE networks, Apple has a chance to reignite avid interest in the smartphone with a new device is smaller and cheaper. Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal in February ran reports claim that Apple was planning a youth-focused iPhone with a redesign similar to the iPod Nanos. While it would be expensive to both products simultaneously, it would be a repetition of incredible success of Apple with the iPhone during the fourth quarter of 2010.

Apple HD TV

This autumn would be very good when connected televisions become big business, and Apple would be the company that the costs. Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray issued last month say that Apple's investment of USD 3.9 billion in LCD display components signaled that the company would be a line of high-definition television this year, a note to investors. With screen sizes ranging from up to 50 centimeters, can Apple's HD Tvs popularize televisions connected to the Internet in the same way the iPad popularized tablet PCs. It would also fit with the history of Apple designs both hardware and software in specific product segments, a stark contrast to Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), whose efforts in the connected TV have involved partnerships the Google TV software with external hardware makers to control.

This may be the year for the iPad 2 tablet are far Apple's plans, but these other products Apple would grow in new markets, while its competitors Motorola as (NYSE: MMI) and battle of Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) for parts of the Tablet PC market with expensive new products. Through diversification, Apple may its shareholders another banner year guarantee.
