On this morning program, we briefly discussed the effect of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's punitive actions and regressive on labour movements across the country.
The fact is, to destroy his unilateral actions of collective bargaining have revived the trade union movement to protect the rights of workers and create good jobs.
Hundreds of thousands of teachers, students and other workers demonstrated at the Wisconsin Capitol building to their voice heard, and, as it turns out, the audience is listening.
According to the USA Today/Gallup poll, Americans oppose eliminating collective bargaining rights of public employees by 61 to 33 percent, and 53 percent of Americans oppose the reduction of wages or benefits the State Government employees.
As a result, workers in the whole country galvanised to protect middle-class way of life which has arisen through collective bargaining and organized labor.
It is very clear that America's workers are the wrong target. Most people believe that it is time to Wall Street accountability for abuses and to instead to stand for the middle class and working families. Walker has overplayed his hand simply-a real sign of arrogance.
The News10 Than Elliott asked as we thought there would be similar movements in California. Not only do I think-so I know.
Such a rally is held in Los Angeles on March 26, in Pershing Square with workers from across the country, even including some from Wisconsin.
Expect to hear more about this movement in the coming days and weeks-but the fact is, the more Scott Walker talks, the more energized employees stand up for their rights over the whole country!
